Tamron has a range of popular telephoto zoom lenses that extend to 300mm for DSLR cameras and now launches the new 70-300mm F4.5-6.3.This is the first model designed for Sony full-frame mirrorless cameras, it is the worldís smallest and lightest telephoto zoom lens for Sony E-mount.A telephoto lens is perfect to get closer to your subjects, no matter if you are a happy enthusiast or a full-blooded professional photographer. This is a versatile lens suitable for several different usage areas such as sports, wildlife and portraiture. However, many telephoto lenses can be quite large and clumsy. With Tamronís new telephoto lens, this is changing. The new lens is developed to bring the joy of easy telephoto shooting to photographers everywhere. It has a weight at 545g and still manages to deliver stunning image quality.The lens construction consists of 15 elements in 10 groups. An LD (Low Dispersion) lens element reduces axial chromatic and other aberrations. Together with Tamronís BBAR (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection) coating, well-known for its great anti-reflection characteristics, this ensures a great optical performance. The new lens shares the same uniform 67mm filter diameter as other members of Tamronís series of full-frame mirrorless camera lenses.The seals are located at the lens mount area and other critical locations to stop infiltration of moisture and dust. This feature provides an additional layer of protection when shooting outdoors under harsh conditions. The AF drive system incorporates the exceptionally quiet RXD stepping motor and is compatible with many Sony camera features, including in body image stabilization, Eye AF, direct manual focus (DMF) and fast hybrid AF.
